Muzi released his dance/electronic album Zeno , last year on the 11th of October and yesterday he dropped visuals for one of the bops , “Phuma (bad self).” The three minute hypnotic groovy breakup song is the seventh track on the album and third to be exhibited with visuals.
A few weeks ago he had released visuals for “Sondela forever” that he shot with “The nation’s sweetheart” Una Rams & Espacio Dios, a 22-year old Alternative/Indie South African artist that is also featured on one of the songs in the album “Good Vibes Only.” After teasing us the whole week with snippets from the video, Phuma (bad self) dropped early yesterday on YouTube and also premiered on Instagram live and MTV Base South Africa in the afternoon. The video is the second installment in a series of music videos which Muzi has dropped this year.
In the video he cruises the streets in a metal trolley , effortlessly in a pair of old skool Vanz, beige pants and a black DEAD. cap , representing simplicity and exactly what you would expect when you hear Muzi’s music , cleanliness. We cross fingers that the next visuals on the Empangeni boy’s list are for our favorite , Emsamu featuring BlackRose.
