A Tribute to Mojalefa ’Mjokes’ Matsane.

This past weekend, the South African music industry was hit with yet another loss. Group member Emmanuel “Mjokes” Matsane passed away on Saturday in a car accident.

He was part of the legendary Kwaito group Trompies. He later on continued to share his skills and talents as the artist director for recording label Kalawa Jazzmee along side business partner Oskido.

Mjokes later on branched out and became a solo artist. He had a tradition of realising a new song once a year. He also got the name “Mjokes” for his love of telling jokes and entertaining friends and family. He will forever be remembered through his music and contributions to the SA music scene.
