L’Oréal Paris is proud to announce the official South African launch of its breakthrough innovation: the Glycolic-Bright Anti-Dark Mark Serum, powered by the multi-patented MelasylTM molecule. This revolutionary advancement in skin science was unveiled at an exclusive, immersive experience titled “Meet Melasyl” on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at the Luxx Venue in Sandton.
Localized pigmentation and stubborn dark spots remain among the most challenging skin concerns for consumers globally. Following years of rigorous research, L’Oréal Paris introduces MelasylTM—the brand’s strongest anti-dark mark active molecule. Clinically proven to reduce dark marks by 86%, this serum combines the resurfacing power of Glycolic Acid with the precision of MelasylTM to offer a science-backed solution for all skin tones.

The Pink Science Lab: An Immersive Journey The “Meet Melasyl” activation is designed to marry cutting-edge science with the elegance of the L’Oréal Paris brand. Guests, including key opinion leaders, retail partners, and beauty industry experts, were guided through a series of “Personalised Science” stations.
A Scientific Celebration: The evening featured a keynote program including a “Deep Dive into Melasyl” by Dr Nxumalo and clinical insights from renowned dermatologist Dr. Ayanda, who will discuss the product’s specific benefits for diverse skin types within the South African context. The event was hosted by popular MC Abigail Visagie, with brand SSA ambassador Ama Qamata in attendance.
