Archive, in partnership with New Balance, officially introduced the highly anticipated New Balance 950 to the South African market with an intimate launch experience at Kleinsky’s in Johannesburg.

Bringing together creatives, media, tastemakers and members of the local basketball community, the evening celebrated the silhouette’s arrival through the shared language of culture, craftsmanship and community.

Inspired by New Balance’s rich basketball heritage, the 950 reimagines a classic mid-1980s court aesthetic for a new generation. While the silhouette draws from decades of performance design, its versatility extends far beyond the hardwood, reflecting the way today’s consumers move seamlessly between sport, creativity and everyday life.

To mark its South African debut, Archive created an experience that echoed the philosophy behind the shoe itself: that the strongest stories are built around people and the communities that shape them.
